Apple supplier TSMC posts 3% annual sales increase

Apple supplier Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co has reported a 3 per cent increase in annual revenues.

The company, which is the sole supplier of core processor chips for Apple's iPhones, said it had revenues of NT$977.45bn in 2017, a 3.1 per cent increase from NT$947.94bn in 2016.

TSMC also posted a stronger finish to the year, with December sales up 15.1 per cent year on year at NT$89.90bn, though that was 3.5 per cent lower than revenues reported for November.
