Darin Billerbeck, CEO of Lattice Semiconductor Corp., has announced his decision to retire and that he is stepping down as CEO and from the company's board of directors with effect from March 16, 2018.

Glen Hawk, chief operating officer, has been appointed interim CEO with effect from the same day. Billerbeck will stay with the company until May 31, 2018, to help ensure a smooth transition and the company has initiated a search for a permanent CEO that will cover both internal and external candidates.

Hawk joined Lattice as COO in November 2015. Prior to that he was general manager of the NAND solutions group at Micron Technology and had previously worked on non-volatile memory at Numonyx and Intel.
