Europe rises as chip market stays strong in February

Annual growth in the global chip market was strong in February at 21.0 percent, slightly down on the 22.7 percent growth experienced in January.

The global chip market recorded its nineteenth consecutive month of year-on-year growth with a three-month average sales figure of $36.75 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reporting figures compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization.

Growth in the Americas, China and Asia-Pacific regions fell back while growth in Europe and Japan was higher than it was in the previous month.
