Last week I was in Japan (re)launching the Cortex-A5, delivering a keynote entitled “Advanced ARM Processor and Physical IP” at an absolutely packed (over 1,000 registrants) ARM Forum 2009, and then visiting a lot of key customers. This week brings a quick trip to the United States for more strategic customer visits and some face-to-face time with my remote team among other things. All this quality airplane time has allowed me to re-read Clayton M. Christensen’s “The Innovator’s Dilemma” and think deeply about how it applies to current events in the (ARM) semiconductor industry.
