Will Intel Trade Process Technology For Foundry?-November 28, 2013 |
According to the Korea Times, Intel’s CEO is off to Seoul this month to try and win some foundry business from Samsung.
Samsung is, of course, in the foundry business itself which would make such a deal unlikely but, adds the Korea Times intriguingly, Intel may also offer access to “Intel’s confidential data for chips” which might be a reference to process information on how to make finfets.
