Synopsys, Inc. and the Indian Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance India’s startup ecosystem. This partnership provides access to engineering simulation, technical mentorship, and ecosystem support, aimed at expediting product development, enhancing hardware reliability, reducing prototyping costs, and boosting innovation among technology startups. It supports the national goal of fostering indigenous innovation in sectors such as systems engineering, robotics, automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing.

Empowering startups

According to Murali Pullela, Country Head (Simulation & Analysis), Synopsys, “ISBA plays a crucial role in strengthening India’s incubation and early-stage innovation landscape. For startups, the journey from idea to impact is often a long and tedious one. Through this partnership, Synopsys aims to empower hardware and deep-tech startups with world-class simulation tools, technical insights, and mentorship to accelerate their journey from idea to impact. This will build a stronger pipeline of engineering innovators for India.”

Synopsys will collaborate with ISBA to host joint events aimed at supporting engineering hardware and system-focused startups. The company will provide three-month trial licenses of Ansys engineering simulation software to selected startups, incubators, and MSMEs, with recommendations from ISBA. After the trial, eligible startups may join the Ansys Startup Program for continued access to the tools.
