Qualcomm Inc. said on April 2 it is participating in South Korea's "Challenge AX" program to support domestic artificial intelligence (AI) startups.
The program, led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is designed to combine new technologies from startups with products and platforms owned by large corporations. It aims to accelerate commercialization and help startups secure market opportunities through proof-of-concept (PoC) projects. Qualcomm is participating alongside LG Electronics as a demand-side partner in AI industry verticals.
The ministry held a launch ceremony on April 1, attended by Minister Han Sung-sook, Qualcomm Korea President Kim Sang-pyo, participating companies and startup representatives.
