Microchip recently expanded its dsPIC33A digital signal controller lineup with the dsPIC33AK256MPS306 family of digital signal controllers (DSCs), which target applications that require fast, deterministic control alongside integrated analog and security capabilities.

The new devices combine a 200-MHz, 32-bit core, high-resolution PWM, fast ADCs, and built-in security features, including support for post-quantum cryptography. By integrating these functions into a single device, the family is designed to reduce component count, simplify board design, and support high-performance applications in power conversion, motor control, and intelligent sensing.
